Our activities require being in good physical condition. Please check with your physician if you have any doubt about your capacity to do the treks proposed in the tour itinerary. Our activities are not suitable for pregnant women. Minors under the age of 18 must travel accompanied by their parents or legal guardian, who are held fully responsible on behalf of the minor. Minors under the age of 14 are not permitted to participate.
All participants are expected to respect and protect the natural, historical and cultural heritage of the various places visited. Totapuri Adventures retains the right at all times to prevent a participant to take part in any of the planned activities if the guide considers that the participant’s behavior or actions might put at risk the physical integrity of any other member of the group.
We reserve the right to interrupt or cancel any activity due to unexpected events, such as extreme weather conditions and/or other natural phenomena that could put the participants and guide’s physical safety at risk.
Since all our treks take place in national parks, safety measures and emergency procedures are guaranteed by the presence of park rangers operating in each location.
Our services do not include personal travel insurance. This insurance is mandatory and must provide full cover, including medical evacuation. Failure to provide evidence of travel insurance prior to arrival in Chile is a valid reason for a participant to be excluded from the tour. We recommend purchasing travel insurance which covers journey interruption and cancellation, baggage loss or theft, medical, accident/life, evacuation, repatriation and other expenses which might arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, delay or any inconvenience occurring to you while travelling.
The tour booking must be made by email. A booking is not final until receipt of the deposit for the service.
A 30% deposit of the total tour value is required in order to confirm booking and to ensure your participation in the tour. The deposit must be paid at least 30 days prior to the start date of the tour. If your booking is made within 30 days of the start date of the tour, the deposit will be 40% of the total tour value. This deposit must be paid in full at the time of booking, unless otherwise specified by Totapuri Adventures.
Total and final payment must be made upon arrival in Chile. Failure to make the final payment will immediately exclude the participant from the tour, without the possibility of recovering any amount paid as a deposit. You will send deposits to the bank account indicated by Totapuri Adventures. It may take some days for the bank transfer to be completed. As soon as the transaction is carried out, the participant will receive written notification confirming the booking and the date the booking was made.
For booking cancellation you must submit your written request by email to info@totapuriadventures.com. The cancellation date is the one which will appear on your written request. The following conditions apply for booking cancellation:
The tour booking for a group must be done by a group leader and by email. Age and full name of participants must be indicated in the email. A booking is not final until the deposit for the service is received.

Cancellation and refund terms for individual group members are the same as those for individual booking indicated above.
No refunds can be claimed for any unused portion of the tour. If for any reason whatsoever you were to abandon an activity, or the tour once it starts, no refund claim can be made. No exceptions apply to these terms, including reasons related to weather, terrorism, civil strife, personal, family or medical emergencies or any other circumstances beyond our control. For this reason, Totapuri Adventures strongly advises to purchase interruption insurance.
Totapuri Adventures reserves the right to cancel, alter or modify any part of the tour without prior notice due to events outside our control. These can involve changes in transportation routes, schedules, and/or itineraries. Changes may be imposed by unpredictable events such as mechanical breakdown, ferry cancellations, flight cancellations, pandemics, strikes, political disputes, weather conditions, and border crossing issues.
If, prior to departure, a modification of the tour is necessary for reasons beyond our control, we will notify all participants immediately. These modifications might involve accommodation, flights and organized activities during the tour. Necessary modifications before the tour start date or during the tour will neither shorten the duration of the tour nor the quality of the services provided as an alternative. Under no circumstance a modification before the tour start date or during the tour can constitute grounds for either a refund or compensation claim on behalf of the participant.
Services supplied by local providers are subject to the providers’ own terms and conditions and the local laws and regulations.
Totapuri Adventures is responsible for the implementation of the services listed in the travel proposal. Nevertheless, delays of flights or other means of passenger transport, cancellation of flights or other means of passenger transport, weather, social factors, natural disasters and other causes of force majeure cannot constitute grounds for Totapuri Adventures to be held legally liable of any responsibility, and no compensation or refund can be claimed against Totapuri Adventures.
